Helping cheap cameras spot obstacles faster

Shrinking a photo before the software looks at it lets slow, inexpensive devices find obstacles about 39% faster. The research was published at PCSC 2025, and you can try the demo on a street scene of your own.

Deadweight

Finds the code nobody uses any more

A VS Code extension that points out exported code with nothing referencing it, the moment you save. The dead line gets a note beside it with a one click delete, and a colour coded map shows where in the project the unused code has collected.

Everything you own and owe, in pesos

Cash, investments, property and debt on one page, with a month by month history and a savings goal. The pace it reports is worked out only from readings you actually saved, so it says when a target is out of reach instead of inventing a projection.

Keeps track of stock, orders and bills

One place for a shop to manage its products, orders, invoices and customer questions. Everyone gets their own view, whether they are the owner, a supplier or a buyer, and payments and shipping are handled inside the app.

A shared board for team projects

A task board that stops a team from piling too much work into one stage at a time. Cards move in real time for everyone watching, and timeline charts show what has to finish before the next thing can start.

Finding a place to stay near school

A search site for students looking for a dorm. Browse listings, narrow them down to what fits, and book a room. There is a phone app to go with it.

Freelance escrow on the Stellar blockchain

A smart contract holds the client's crypto until the work is turned in and approved, so neither side has to just trust the other. If they disagree, a neutral arbiter can step in and decide who gets paid.

On-chain DAO voting on Sui

A smart contract that lets a small group put up a proposal, set a deadline and count the votes where nobody can rig the tally. The chain itself blocks anyone from voting twice, and each voter keeps an on-chain token as proof they took part.

Control YouTube by waving your hand

Your webcam watches your hand so you can control a video without touching anything. Make a fist to play or pause, and raise or lower your hand to change the volume. It works whether you are right in front of the screen or across the room.

Spin-the-wheel raffle draws

Two spinning wheels at once: one picks the winner, the other picks the prize. Load your name list from a spreadsheet, choose whether past winners stay in the running, and enjoy the confetti on every draw.
